We should think about all grant recipients as founders. Doesnt have to be a startup. Nouns support founders of ideas, projects, initiatives, sometimes organizations. Being a founder feels stronger than being a grantee, more agentic, empowering. Furthermore, when we (as voters/community members) consider who we want to fund, we generally want the founder archetype. Someone with a strong drive, willing to take a bit of personal risk, and make an impact on people around them.

https://x.com/internetphysics/status/1903546647704952967 cant shake the feeling there is a lesson in how lootboxes turned videogames from entertainment maxxing to extraction maxxing the lootbox innovation made the entire vidya industry significantly worse off and it has yet to recover, likely never will. now we wade thru slop to seek gems where the creator (or shareholders) didnt succumb to max-extract and had a different moral compass or goal for their audience yes this reads a bit 'rah rah big corpo bad' but for games that, almost overnight, became true w very few exceptions everyone figured out the easy way to maximize revenue and users (more users good right?) was to turn users into gambling addicts some reject it, and continue to make incredible gaming experiences (often rewarded by heaps of cash), arguably keeping the industry and its culture alive -- whos doing that in crypto

My longterm plan for Nouns is to make it the best wealth distribution vehicle in the world. The greatest good Nouns can do is help ensure a functional and desirable society as we head deeper into agi timelines. Nouns already possess many of the budding qualities needed for such a project to succeed, a 3+ year history of true decentralized fund mgmt perhaps the most prominent. Whos excited for this future and want to help make it reality?

curious what the community thinks about this since its a sentiment i see pop up now and then my off the cuff take is that old/current nouns voters/members generally struggle to see new influential voters enter, its a power shift dynamic that is built into nouns but can feel uncertain and unpredictable* insofar nouns is a train that is both built and wrecked at the same time (h/t mikegood), the status quo feels 'safe' and 'steady' and in some ways its 'the mess we understand' i wont pretend im fully immune to the feeling of uncertainty, but i think ive learned to embrace it over the years. and i think you can make a case for this cyclical nature of nouns voters/power blocks being 'a very good thing' since it naturally combats stagnation which is a common poison for any org and, honestly, would probably kill nouns rather quickly were we to shut off auctions or otherwise ossify the voter base (note: not focused on or against mikegood, his comment is just what sparked the thought)
