idk if i agree w the premise of OP but social networks as we know them dying seems almost desirable as it will inevitably birth some new type of -thing- filling the void trying to exclude agents from current networks is both a losing battle and feels kinda skeumorphic

I like that 5gram/jane are hoarding nouns bc it puts the onus on someone else (or a collective) to financially compete at auction in order to keep pace for gov control/influence. This is..how its supposed to work, as far as i can tell? The cleanest way for Nouns to increase inflow is to make votes worth something.

is there a case for a leaderboard of spam reports? top performers get some amount of usdc rewards yes i could see this going south and maybe youd have to de-incentivize fake reports (good report - bad report = your reward) another type of proof of work

Whether agree with premise or not, how would you act on this belief? ’Diversify’ seems like a no-brainer but in this scenario i dont think its obvious usd, stocks or crypto wont go to zero, and my mind goes to physical resources like land? Especially scarce land like a nyc penthouse? (In this scenario im assuming there wont be a full-scale war, everyones dead etc, which is a different and imo less interesting puzzle.)

Kids/family friendly hotels for a quick stay in NYC? Its only 2 nights so dont think we need a kitchen(ette), but looking for something relatively affordable in a good area with good access.

OAI ghibli really highlighted the need for people to decouple their self worth from their profession. This has always been a good idea but now it seems crucial else entire fields will just fall victim to mass psychosis one after the other. I used to underplay the issue of lost jobs since its just a stepping stone and temp state to something better (or worse) but now i feel like, yeah that era might become real ugly.

my northern star is "everyone should be happy when they exit the door", which i feel is a good goal and helps me stay sane, but it does also mean that most principles go out the window, and im making use of every tool or trick to get there will that bite me later? idk maybe? but trading "potential dmg later" for happiness now seems like a fine deal
