1. Power badge gets computed every Tuesday 2. Plenty of new accounts get it each week; some lose it 3. Based on inbound engagement from other other power badge users 4. There's no penalty for interacting with non-power badge if you have it Open to another system, except for "well, just give it to me because I'm good".

Good response My only critique is some have a power badge only because they have a “legacy” following somewhere else. They come here get a butt load of followers and only “broadcast”. It’s lame but not sure if there is a way to challenge that.

@dwr.eth The point is that there IS penalty for interacting with non-power badge specially if you have it because you will interact less with other power badge users so if you want to continue holding the badge based on inbound engagement from other other power badge users, you’re literally screwed.

Actually it's a little more gatekept/"trickle down" than you think. The only way you can get the Power User badge is if someone else with one decides to interact with you enough to trigger it. So you basically have to start your Farcaster journey groveling for visibility.
