Drafts for quick note taking. Roam for more thinking and long form stuff.

Roam and Obsidian are both stellar, but Apple Notes really is at both ends of the bell curve

I really want to use obsidian but I haven’t found the time to learn the best way to use it. Feels like learning Vim all over again- lots of burden on the user to come up with a personal workflow and organizational structure. Really steep adoption barrier I haven’t crossed yet.

Google Keep for quick ones, for those notes where I need to group and keep updating - Notion. Any drawing notes - excalidraw (+ VS Code plugin)

Only one part of my stack, but haven't seen it mentioned here: audiopen.ai has been great for thinking out loud and structuring into custom formats

Mem is pretty lightweight (does not require all the "linking" of roam, reflect, etc.), but I find I reverted back to Apple Notes for a lot of stuff too since Mem's mobile app is slow and not very reliable. Google Docs for any/all work stuff that will need to get shared.

Not an elegant solution, but both WhatsApp and Telegram have a feature to send messages to yourself. I mostly use that. Gets the job done tbh. 😅
