Warpcast is giving out $5 each day to the top 100 casters.  

Rewards are given based on the amount of engagement your casts get divided by the number of active followers you have. 

We'll run this experiment through the end of the year to see if it drives people to create more interesting content for Farcaster.

Why I'm excited for this experiment

1. Daily payout in USDC on @base to your existing wallet

2. Algo normalizes followers (we're going to keep adjusting it), so a much wider pool of people will be eligible

3. You don't have to use Warpcast to be eligible; cast from anywhere

so from what I understand, this will be a more "fair" approach so not only big accounts with obviously more engagement due to amount of followers be the only ones getting it, correct?

People are free to buy the ETH if that's what they want. I suspect most people are happy getting something.

Pay in $5 of ETH instead of USDC.

People prefer speculative assets for small tips. You're not just tipping the value, you're also tipping hopium.

Might be interesting to make this easier for other parties to chip in and increase the pool size. And maybe for specific topics, “beer X added 100 USDC for beer-related content”.

Would’t this again reward the same people as any other rewards we have seen on Farcaster?

Everyone who's all "herp derp, it's only $5" needs to consider the full context. 

This is an experiment. If it works as intended, who's to say that $5 doesn't increase in the future?

Interesting experiment, excited to see how it plays out.  I guess the point is get people here and keep them here.  With $MOXIE and this that’s a pretty big carrot!

How does the ops/compliance side of paying so many people globally work?
