Anyone got any experience with salt tabs (cramp tablets). I have always thought that cramp was really just from not preparing adequately, but I started using Crampeeze capsules a few years ago and it seems to have helped. But I have also been racing more conservatively. So I can't really tell if the tablets are working or if I am just running more within myself?

I use salt tab pre-race as it said that it can prevent cramp So far I never got cramps before, so I’m not sure about it’s effectiveness. The main reason I take salt tab before race is because it include some Caffeine as well lol

I think that cramping [is] really just from not preparing adequately. 😑 Great way to make $$$ though... 🤑

I’ve used salt tabs a few times. Potassium (mostly bananas) works best for me.

I never used salts to avoid cramps. But i recall to having cramps (usually at night) when k was undertrained ten years ago. Now that I properly train with lot of zone2 and high mileage I have not had a cramp in two years.

I don't think there is any evidence that salt tabs prevent cramps. I would be mindful of bypassing taste and instead rely on salt cravings

I’ve been taking magnesium before going to bed. That and electrolytes before/during/post workouts have helped me greatly! I had the last bad cramp during a Hm in January and nothing ever since I added magnesium + electrolytes 🤷♀️
