Something subtle that I think is really important to growing an audience on FC is having a perspective that is unique and different to CT. I've seen a lot of people try and get by just cross-posting to both - but each has its own unique vibe and I think it's important to approach it from that perspective. I don't think this will always be the case - but I've made a really conscious effort to not just lazily post the same thing in two places but have takes that are intended towards different audiences.

I’ve had dinner with Nas, lunch with Anthony Davis, flown on Rich Paul’s jet, can text Maverick Carter and get a response. Been to Philly with Dion Waiters, North Carolina with Chris Paul. Done sessions with Miguel Cabrera and Von Miller. Been to San Clemente for Dwayne Wades invite only camp, saw Melo hoop, and turned down a contract to work in the NBA bubble during Covid and to be full time with PJ Tucker in Miami. Just a small reminder to myself that my life is dope

I guess I am pausing my activity on Warpcast for the foreseeable future. I worked really hard for these 5k that are now gone. They might be bots to you but they were friends to me.

The under appreciated thing about the DAO hack is that it was kind enough to give everyone a 30 day grace period to discuss how to handle it at length. Kind of wild how convenient it was as a learning experience. (Not sure the lesson sank in though). With a straight up wallet theft, the funds start circulating, exchanging and mixing immediately, there’s just no way you could simply “roll it back”, even if there was unanimous agreement. https://x.com/CryptoHayes/status/1893070933482737805

I want to highlight a specific part of a video call *during* the call. Sort of like how a dash cam works - it's recording, I hit a button, it saves the previous + following 15s. Know of any tools that do this?

Builders drive ecosystems. If there were an incubation, grants, or investment arm focused on Farcaster-native projects, what’s one thing you’d love to see get backed and why? In other words, what’s one Farcaster-native project you think deserves more visibility, funding, or support (what type of support) — and why?

This journey isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s personal, messy, beautiful. Listen to your truth, even when it whispers. Are you listening to your truth my friends? It's important to me. Like really important.

Something I keep noticing with memecoins is how many people who thrived in past crypto crime seasons are now loud critics. Memecoins = bad. Yet so many got rich off ICOs, NFTs, and DeFi tokens—maybe some self-reflection is in order before criticizing. As if nobody remembers past cycles and their crime seasons. Those three were just as dirty in the beginning. Let’s not forget the $50M-$100M-$200M ICOs, blatant cash grabs wrapped in marketing. Or the DeFi Summer fair launches, where whales took most of the money off the table. Same playbook with NFTs. Yet somehow, people don’t call those times crime seasons now, even though they were. The upside? Crime seasons always leave behind new infrastructure, apps, new users, and proven use cases. What starts as chaos eventually builds value in the very categories where crime once thrived. Onwards.
