"Warpcast is being built as a status as a service network. Which requires keeping people out, in order to maintain its value. It's clearly being built protocol second, product first." This is real talk from @artlu and it’s even more true now that we have this new memecoin everyone is excited about which disproportionately benefits the "popular" users of the network and the WC gatekeepers who have the power to shadowban and control the algorithms that influence distribution within the network. I'm sad to see @artlu go, and I relate to his frustration because I felt the same way when I decided to stop working on /outcasters. Taking a break really helped me, and I still make an effort to disconnect from this place whenever things start to feel like a rollercoaster. I'll def keep in touch and would love to dive even deeper into some of the topics mentioned in this episode

I’m late in the season to sit and listen to a whole episode, but it was a great one! I read @artlu ‘s post about Farcaster clients and enjoyed it too. If I have any regret, it’s not engaging more with him and voicing similar opinions. Actually, I revealed my preference a while ago and decided to focus on other priorities, so I didn’t cast much recently. I told myself I’d come back when 1. the auto follow list is removed, 2. there is a reverse chronological timeline, and 3. there is no algorithmic timeline with accounts I don’t follow. You’ll be missed.
