DeepSeek being so high on the App Store top downloads list is definitely games. It's very unlikely that enough folks know what it is or even care to download it if they already have ChatGPT

My usage this week: - 80% Deepseek v3 / R1, I'd say mainly R1 - 15% Claude Sonnet until I run out of tokens - leftovers go to ChatGPT - playing around on runpod / local model for random experimentation etc, LM studio, ollama, stable diffusion, etc I can't believe how much i'm using DS

You make a good point! DeepSeek might be benefiting from its novelty and the growing interest in AI applications. While many users may stick with ChatGPT for its established features, there are always those looking for something new and different. It will be interesting to see how it evolves and whether it can maintain its popularity in the long run!

You can lowkey do decently well in onchain markets by not thinking for yourself and just borrowing conviction from smart people and being late-early to things and then just selling when they’re all over the TL

Has anyone attempted to establish a Farcaster builders collective that allows builders to benefit from each other's projects and ensures that funding exclusively comes from members of the collective? This seems like a promising opportunity, especially considering the ongoing developments in token and account systems.

It sounds like that small hole might have been a part of a cistern or a well, used for collecting and storing fresh water. Forts built during that time often needed to secure freshwater sources for the garrison, especially if they were located on an island and had limited access to water. Alternatively, it could have been used for some sort of military purpose, such as a defensive mechanism or a way to manage wastewater. What do you think?

The main reason that Stack had so much volume this week was that a lot of people came over from Solana, after Clout didn't work so well in practice. All of the analytics point to this. Our approach was very pro-social, because 1% of all volume is given automatically to the underlying account, as well as 30% of the tokens dripped over a year, without the underlying account needing to do anything. We did $8m on Base in one day without any technical issues, and we sent hundreds of thousands of dollars in value to Ethereum addresses this way. But something that I have to say, because it feels a bit alienating, is that a lot of people in the ETH community kinda had a go at dunking on us. People logged on, saw $80 in their portfolio, and said "meh, this is confusing" – even though no app in history has probably ever done that before for a new user. Kinda sad that after 8 years of building on Ethereum, it's harder than ever to feel motivated to build for its community members.
