do any other creative people here find that they jump around different creative activities and struggle to stick with one? a few weeks ago I was in a massive rabbit hole of teaching myself 3D (something I will definitely go back to at some point - just not been doing it recently!). now i'm all-in on web design again.

I think initially it felt this way. As my practice developed I understood that this is the natural cycle of creativity. Jumping between skills isn’t always a lack of focus, it can also be a way of building foundational knowledge, taste, tool mastery etc. A lot of that is a subtle transversal skill where every ‘detour’ adds to your creative repertoire, even if it doesn’t feel linear.

all the time. i’m currently working on two very different artwork styles, i was sculpting (very amateurishly) air dry clay sometime back, rabit holed illustrator lessons before that, now i have an intense urge to try embroidery. this applies to my reading style too, i almost always read two very diff styles of books simultaneously. i’ve come to the conclusion that i need pet projects/books to see me through the larger ones
