If there’s anything I learned from the recent @chatter-app release, it’s that ai sucks donkey balls for making anything scalable or performant. 

Anyone claiming otherwise should not be trusted. 

Incredible tool for boilerplate generation, rubber ducking, ideation, etc. Even that should be verified and researched afterwards.

It makes senior level engineers quite a bit more productive, but that’s due to the experience of debugging these problems in the first place. Seniors have simply written more bad code, and had to solve the problems. 

Knowledge is sexy.

Producing slop for “productivity” hacks is not.

Who else feels kinda let down by the supposed greatness of ai?

After fighting with useEffect and websocket reconnection issues, Chatter is now reworked

No more signin to read the public channels!

Also fixed a plethora of other bugs. So experience should be much better!

It is based to have your own opinion and stand behind it.

It is even more based to have an opinion, and change that opinion given more information. You won't always be correct, and that's a good thing. 

Foster these relationships. Stay based.

sorry that was too dismissive. my guidance:

- create a warpcast channel
- find relevant posts and people and engage with them
- find ways to share your product (eg DMing) with them and get them to join the channel
- share consistent updates in the channel

if you do that, you should have a path to 100 people trying it out!

Finally got it deployed! 

Built with Bun on the frontend, Rust on the backend.

Nothing like getting kicked in the taint trying to compile rust for a different OS than you're using.

But hey.. we learning!
