Got some really interesting comments on this cast in /curation the other day. Most ppl consider curating an art. I shared my own thoughts on the topic in my @alfafrens channel. yesterday in my @alfafrens channel I shared the 'Xerox Book' (1968), an exhibition of conceptual artworks that existed entirely in a book (NOT just a catalogue). Curated by Seth Siegelaub. In curation classes and books, this was always brought up as THE example for non-institutional curating. (No women artists tho!!)

i’m about 1/4 through this book, ‘Why Art Criticism?: A Reader’ and been really enjoying it so far! 40+ source texts of art criticism that span 4 centuries and multiple continents. A huge wealth of knowledge for me on how critics have historically used criticism as activism, judgement, historicisation, etc.
