do any other creative people here find that they jump around different creative activities and struggle to stick with one? a few weeks ago I was in a massive rabbit hole of teaching myself 3D (something I will definitely go back to at some point - just not been doing it recently!). now i'm all-in on web design again.

I think initially it felt this way. As my practice developed I understood that this is the natural cycle of creativity. Jumping between skills isn’t always a lack of focus, it can also be a way of building foundational knowledge, taste, tool mastery etc. A lot of that is a subtle transversal skill where every ‘detour’ adds to your creative repertoire, even if it doesn’t feel linear.

i've been thinking this too! the 3D and web design stuff i've been learning are complementary. as i mentioned to @mxjxn.eth i'm also interested in game development at a certain point; the skills i'm learning in both web design and 3D will be useful for that as well whenever the time comes.
