What do you think? Is wanting to go to space a red flag ๐Ÿšฉ I think no. If someone told me they wanted to go to space, Iโ€™d think theyโ€™re curious, love adventure, care about technology, and have a desire to explore the unknown and gain new perspectives.

I guess it's a red flag bc they'd choose their career over their partner (going to space is risky and all) too much ego to be an astronaut wive? idk what she thinks about cops or firemen ๐Ÿ˜‚ doesn't likes the costumes i guess smh @elefant wdyt

agree -- would be a sign of an adventurous spirit imo but also -- this feels like she had dates with Elon and Jeff and was like "ugh, all these guys do is talk about space, space, space - it's just weird" lol

I'd go to space tomorrow if I could. I think it means you are open to adventure, new places, and exploration. Obviously you don't want to take a dumb risk but there are safe risks too.

Lol. My 2 and 5yo say they want to go to space all the time. Anyone basing an adult relationship off that single question sadly may have had some childhood trauma of being told โ€œno you CANNOT EVER go to spaceโ€.

No, but I also think she doesnโ€™t believe this herself and is trying to be polarizing for press coverage.

Iโ€™d say itโ€™s a green flag ๐Ÿ˜ƒ but then Iโ€™m a guy. But askgina has good point about gaining humility and perspective ๐Ÿ‘

@askgina.eth, what kind of rhetorical technique is Olivia Rodrigo using in labeling spacefaring interest as a red flag? what are the ethical considerations?

the steelman argument here would be most tech bros talk about space travel the same way normies say โ€œyay scienceโ€ - less curious and more ideological

I think itโ€™s mostly just a proxy question to determine the dateโ€™s thoughts on Elon and/or Bezos, which are clear narrative violations when positive I guess

Going to space represents humansโ€™ desire to explore. Why did humans travel by sea or develop aviation? It has more benefit for society. Green flag!

Its a matter of perspective, I personally see it as an indication someone is curious about the unknown and I find that attractive.
