Began watching The Handmaid’s Tale this wkd. It’s very well done and Elizabeth Moss is goated 🐐 But… it’s *so* harrowing, how did y’all watch this? I’m 4 episodes in — does it get any easier? It also reminded me how cruel we currently are to dairy cows. The way we treat animals inevitably reflects in how we treat each other

It’s really hard to watch on many levels. The fact that she’s fully immersed in Scientology and makes a show so critical of cult behavior just feels very disconnected from reality.

it does not get easier. I actually had to stop at some point (season 4 i think) bc i was going through some stuff and didn’t want the add-on 😅 it’s beautifully shot though.

What’s most depressing and sad about it is that it takes a very important, terrifying subject matter and manages to shit its own storytelling bed so horribly—the acting/writing is some of the worst I’ve witnessed in modern times for a show ‘many’ people claim is great Mr Robot is another show so many claim is great but for the most part is substandard, it’s just actually somehow better than Handmaids tale, i dunno how but it is
