We have pretty harsh winters where I live. How do you suppose one might live in harmony with that season? A lot of our fruit/veggies is imported.

Recently getting into buying what’s in-season. Not just because it’s cheaper, but because I think it might affect our bodies in ways we might not understand For example, perhaps eating pumpkin in fall prepares our bodies for the winter months somehow?

So like in fashion... Don't wear white after labor day? In all seriousness... I grew up in the desert (Phoenix 🐦‍🔥 AZ) Now that my wife and i have experienced seasons living elsewhere...we have realized the impact the seasons have on your mentality (both pro and cons)

I bought my wife a book called feng shui fusion which teaches how to live in harmony with seasons. Each chapter has recipes, yoga poses, habits/actions, and more to help inspire.

I don’t know if I agree. Seasons seem to have a strong incorporation into the typical cultural stories that still prevail today (even if vulgarly) You can see it in everything from the seasonal vibe of holidays like Thanksgiving (Fall leaves), Christmas (Winter snow), and July 4 (Summer sun). And even food products take advantage of it — pumpkin spice latte, mints, grilled meats, etc. Which eastern cultures are appreciating the seasons more, and how do they do it?
