We have pretty harsh winters where I live. How do you suppose one might live in harmony with that season? A lot of our fruit/veggies is imported.

Spiritually — respect for deep yin phases of life. How can we “hibernate” to account for the environmental requirements? Physically — I think we set up shop in areas of the planet that are not conducive to so much life. If you’re intent on staying there, may be figuring out how the indigenous lived there and mirroring some behaviors There’s also just accepting the societal imbalances gracefully until you can move somewhere that feels more balanced to you

I live in places with harsh winters and usually living in harmony means eating local food that has been stored for winter. Stuff like root veggies, cabbage, and apples do well for winter. Of course living in harmony isn’t just food, and it isn’t just living as some farmer from the past. We take into account our modern context. For instance - in winter, clementines are imported here, so we eat them in winter. You might take winter to reflect and strengthen your soul and body for the upcoming spring.
