nobody’s gonna steal your, my or even their own ideas. it takes a part of someone’s soul to convert the idea into reality. if any of us have just been “sitting” on an idea, we deserve to get it stolen - much better for this world.

50/50 on agreeing with this execution is really important, but from personal experience copying ideas happens all the time - hilariously enough an investor we pitched ghosted us and then left his fund to build a competitor very much a silicon valley the show moment

yes during my first startup I was cagey and cautious when discussing what I was doing learned quickly that talking openly and transparently about everything is the right way to do it: easier to hire, easier to get funding intros, easier to test your thinking and messaging

Every idea is a bad idea to start lol 😅 Takes a lot of thoughtful conversations and work to turn it into an idea that brings real value into the world That said, there’s prob some very late stage ideas (more like plans that are already being executed) stealing which would count as theft

We shouldn't be complacent about stealing ideas. Sure, you need to act on it, execution is key, blah, blah, blah. But imho the idea market is way too centralized into a few VCs and they are incentivized to steal them (consciently or not).

Yup. I have too many ideas to be so precious with them. And if I have a really good idea, I'd much rather see it implemented than getting the credit for bringing it to fruition. The NFT feed on FC is literally one of those ideas I had. And I'm so happy to see that it exists!
