I make sure to constantly move… I find my energy drains if I’m sitting - especially in virtual meetings - so if I sit and work at a computer, I do so for only 30 min at a time. Whenever I have a virtual meeting, I say hello on video, turn off video and walk around while talking

What’s urgent is not always important, and what’s important is not always urgent. Learn to evaluate and prioritise tasks according to the Eisenhower matrix. Then: Do, Defer (Delay), Delegate, and Delete (Drop).

1. setting ambitious goals, achievable with hard work. 2. nourishing my body and mind: sleeping well, eating well, going for that walk if I can’t concentrate, trying breathwork if I feel anxious, finding time to embrace my inner child, etc.

According to my Whoop :) - Drink water - Sleep well - Get outside (Not same as exercise) - Exercise (I'm partial to boxing – FightCamp) - Breath work - Feel self-efficacy When I'm practicing these habits, energy and productivity take care of themselves. As does self-efficacy.

Seeing down-time as “productive,” while being cognizant of the tipping point between “ok I’ve recharged” and “ok I’m being a glutton” Down time is productive time too!

Spend my most focused energy on the most important tasks. Try to do less important work (usually school stuff for me) during less productive times (during class, while I'm waiting for something, etc)

It’s really useful to let your subconscious process hard problems while you do other things - I’ve had a lot of breakthroughs while reading or doing yoga because I’m not constantly hyper-focused on my work. Also it’s awesome that you have a newsletter!

I have a process that most people would call absolutely bananas. Do you remember P90X? There was this idea they had called “muscle confusion”, with the notion that it eliminated plateaus. I do a similar thing with work, where I have my daily work but in the evening/weekends —
