Visiting interesting third spaces, like hotel lobbies or vinyl listening cafes/bars, and SoundHounding what’s playing. Bike rides with friends. Going to local shows. Recently, sometimes /albumoftheday

Spotify is incentivized to steer you towards podcasts because they are more profitable for them (less payouts to music rights holders)

Check out artists on /soundxyz obvi! I got an open mint there too. Working on more ambient tracks as well this is my first instrumental AI created release. https://www.sound.xyz/jacquec/saffron-skys?referral_source=link

Bandcamp is currently the best alternative IMO, not to mention the best way to directly support artists. One of my dreams is to utilize web3 (maybe even Nounspace!) to create a better platform for both listeners and musicians alike. Music has become far too devalued over the past decade.

When I was younger, I discovered music through soundcloud. But then when I onboarded to TikTok, I found a lot of good music there (as much as I hated that damn app) which then led me to do more exploring through Youtube.

Way back in the day it was call of duty montages, these days it is Twitter. I'm super into metalcore, so I've been following a lot of people and bands over the years, so most of my feed over there is new music and tbh that is the only reason I still go over there! Also Spotify's discover weekly playlist can be good too
