Kinda wild all these people gathered and spent all this money to celebrate a weekly type-2 diabetes management injection.

I’m an analog guy, all the way. I prefer to write almost everything down, from notes to logo sketches to IAs, and bring things to digital to add organization/fidelity and to distribute to others. For research and product design work, however, I find that I often reach for Figma first. This is some initial exploration for my Atmo Studio logo, done while solo traveling in Berlin this February.

I missed yesterday's prompt cuz I've been heads down on these designs the last couple of days. We're iterating on our upcoming payroll feature to add multiple linear payment streams to a single role. This is a simple change (and relief) for our devs but has required a significant rework of our existing designs. This screenshot shows a few iterations of viewing & withdrawing available funds. A lot of this UI needs to get dialed in but I'm aiming to get a lot of ideas out fast for review.

New toggle variable components added to the @decentdao design system. - Mobile-first sizing for compatibility across all screens and experiences. - Includes new UI flat-depth theming. - Higher contrast to clearly indicate on/off and enabled/disabled states.

I'm celebrating the talented designer cohort giving us all a peek behind the curtains of their processes and frameworks in the /lounge this week. Go shower these designers with love. 🏅

- Go for a bike ride - Go for a walk - Garden - Bake - Smoke weed - Watch a movie - Actively listen to music - Any combo of the above Basically, step away from the problem and do anything else that ignites my creative energy without directly thinking about the problem. Ideas will seep in on their own when you let the mind do its thing.

I find it a best practice to name layers: - Good for general file hygiene - Creates basic skeletal structure for the artwork - In production, makes it easier for everyone else down the line to understand the file - Influences layer naming in codebase; I think about how I would build the artwork with HTML - wowow so clean It doesn't take long to develop the practice. I usually do it at the end of a design cycle as part of housekeeping and production readiness. (Habit picked up from prepress experience in print.)

Designs go through a lot of feedback and iterating before they go live. Gathering thorough requirements, developing a deep understanding of the problem, and asking better questions will reduce your risk of spending hours chasing the wrong idea only to end up back at square one. This is a showcase of the major iterations the upcoming roles and payroll feature for @decentdao went through over the past several weeks, and all the wrong ideas we pursued to arrive at a solution. Love the designs? Hate them? Got a favorite version? Questions about certain decisions? Let me know in the comments. https://frame.town/fzh6pqit

Recent random pickup on 45 and we couldn't stop repeating it. Incredible to still discover new tracks from prolific music legends after so many deep catalogue dives: https://youtu.be/tbGvU1DqQBA?si=jXa3b4GPhj4j5Uqx

I’ve been drawing and creating art since I was old enough to hold a pencil. I grew up believing my career would be in art or music, and thought I was going to be an art teacher. In high school I took a bunch of art classes and realized I didn’t have the patience for fine art. My school also offered graphic design, which I knew nothing about, but it was an avenue of art I hadn’t yet explored. So I signed up. Literally within the first few days I knew I had found something I loved. What really sealed the deal was an assignment where we had to measure various line lengths on a sheet of paper in numerous units of measurement, from points to meters. I loved how design engaged my messy, artistic creative and structured, scientific curious sides of myself with hands-on DIY execution. I went to Clemson for a BS in Graphic Communication where I studied print design and production. Along the way I fell into branding after picking up marketing, media, and packaging design courses.

Barely biked this week so made up for it with a long explore today. These spur trails get gnarly in the peak of summer.

V excited to hang with the FC designer crew in the /lounge for season 3. An intro to myself down in the 🧵👇🏻 What’s good y’all 🤠 1. How did I discover Farcaster? It blipped on my radar last year but in February I decided it was time to restart my social media presence (had been largely inactive for almost 5 years) and saw my colleague @tommyjo.eth thriving here.
