Polygon has overtaken Ethereum in terms of NFT sales! While everyone is paying attention to the bitcoin exchange rate, a mini-revolution is taking place in the NFT. For the first time in its history, the D2 network surpassed D1 in terms of volume and number of customers (39k and 36k). In the week before April 22: — Polygon: $22.1 million — Ethereum: $21.8 million The top engine is Courtyard, an RWA project with physical cards (Pokémon, sports) that turn into NFTs. $20 million in sales per week, $2.7 million in one day. ETH holders are unhappy: L2 networks are pulling traffic and value. But Polygon is still connected to Ethereum via EVM. By the morning of April 24, Ethereum regained its weekly lead, but the internet remembers everything.

Think of all the productivity lost to the tariff shit. Every company making new plans, changing employees goals, etc. - only for it all to change again, on a dime. It just reaffirms my belief that usually the government sucks ass - no matter who is in charge.

The greatest growth in users on crypto exchanges is now coming from the university environment. Exchanges are interested in a young audience, and the “free money — only win” scheme works especially effectively on people without experience. Is this approach ethical? Or is there nothing wrong with giving students $500 each to learn trading?

Online scandal A loud scandal is brewing in Chinese social networks: the ETHPanda research platform has accused two large centralized exchanges — Bybit and Bitget — of dubious programs aimed at turning inexperienced students into ludomaniacs. What exactly is going on: — Students receive “test funds” from the exchange (for example, $500–$1,000), which cannot be withdrawn, but can be used to trade derivatives (most often futures). — If a student successfully trades and makes a profit, he can take this profit for himself. — There are no losses at the same time — only the stock exchange. Additionally, if a student posts screenshots with high returns (for example, x3 or x5) on social media, they may be offered additional “test” funds or bonuses. ETHPanda calls this “degen grooming" — the formation of dependence among financially inexperienced youth.

Jesse, this already exists. This is exactly what NFTs are. If you want them to be semifungible, use ERC1155. Calling it a coin makes people focus on the chart. Call it an NFT (or rebrand to something else) and people will focus on the content. DeeKay's New Era or other large open editions like XCOPY's Mutatio are great existing representations of the concept of "contentcoins" https://opensea.io/collection/deekay-motion-new-era-eth.
