Jesse, this already exists. This is exactly what NFTs are. If you want them to be semifungible, use ERC1155. Calling it a coin makes people focus on the chart. Call it an NFT (or rebrand to something else) and people will focus on the content.

coins are 10x better financial primitives than NFTs for doing what we want to do. we can reset the culture.

Isn’t it simpler to have a stake on a coin? 
One example:
- I want to invest x amount in content, it seems more natural to buy 100 coins of a specific content, doesn’t feel as natural to buy 100 nfts.
