just read ai16z’s new whitepaper on Eliza: a Web3-friendly AI agent operating system. While much of the content has been discussed before, the whitepaper exudes ambition. Some criticize it for lacking major technical innovations compared to commonly used frameworks like LangChain. However, as the whitepaper emphasizes, Eliza’s strength lies in its Web3-friendly design. It simplifies multi-chain integrations and includes comprehensive support for social networks (notably Farcaster), enabling a deep fusion of AI and Web3. This allows devs and users to quickly tailor solutions to their needs while lowering the barrier to advanced AI functionality. If any future framework claims to be better, I’ll be looking to see if it matches Eliza’s modular support for models, chains, and social network clients.

It's currently in beta, check out the video demo below to try it out! Once beta is over, the code will be open-source, allowing you to self-host it. EVM address <> FID data is now available onchain Fetching the FID for a connected address is pretty simple but always had to be done offchain, now the *data is available to smart contracts* /neynar deployed a contract on /base Sepolia that allows a smart contract to query an address and get back the connected FID So if you're building something that requires your contract to check whether an address is a Farcaster user, it's possible all onchain If you build something using this, reach out.
