+1 @betashop.eth. my "why FC":
the loneliness crisis is real.
people want to feel part of a community, more so than they want to be popular, that's actively engage with shared interests and experiences.
but social media today offer too much media and not nearly enough social.
as users feel more and more disconnected without a way to authentically connect, they instead turn to substacks, patreons, discords, podcast groups, and slacks.
there they find what's missing from mainstream social media: high-quality content, meaningful engagement, opportunities for collaboration, and a sense of belonging.
the issue is that these platforms are siloed and, as a result, the communities are fragmented with everyone forced to start from zero on each one.
with farcaster, we only have to start from zero once — making it easier than ever to find and build content-rich, culture-driven communities that co-create together.
with farcaster, you can get reach without sacrificing intimacy.
is it time to move beyond crypto? 8 replies
