- everyone is always looking for engineers but community and ops roles are starting to open up now, yes

TLDR: use LinkedIn, leverage your personal network, and generate referrals

- recruiting pre-work (run intake, write up JD, design interview process)
- identify relevant profiles in your personal network, at similar businesses or teams
- pitch the opportunity, see who's interested, collect their feedback, and iterate on your pitch
- start interviewing and repeat steps 2 and 3

sourcing and recruiting is a lot like product development — you need to research the skill set and what's on the market, GTM and pitch the role, collect feedback, interview, and iterate

If you're hiring for a crypto related position but want to reach people outside the crypto bubble as well, what strategies or platforms would you recommend?

it depends on the parameters of the search and what's a must have or nice to have

anything that requires previous smart contract/protocol/onchain technical/research experience plus proficiencies is always a challenge

How do I get a role in crypto? Been in the space for over a decade now and have never been able to land an interview even though I’m deep innit 😂

- L2 technical experience and heavy rust experience seems to be lagging

generally, there's a shortage of talent across the board. working professionally in crypto isn't mainstream and most people think it's still risky.

what are the most in demand non engineering roles in crypto rn? where is there a shortage of talent in crypto (if at all)?

Growing veggies for the fine folks of Southeastern Massachusetts, w/ a focus on nutrient quality. Always interested in the evolution of digital payments.  🎩 

I actually root for the Red Sox and whoever plays the Yankees.

I root for the A’s and Giants as a Bay resident, but will likely focus more on the Giants next season.

What’s the future of your baseball fandom?  Who are you rooting for going forward once the As leave?

Asking for honest feedback. Two years ago I tried to find a relevant (CTO, VPoE, product) job in blockchain and I was actually actively asking companies and DAOs I like if there is any use of my talents in their orgs. I applied to almost a hundred openings. After that I landed a great job in the CDP industry within a month and I had other offers.
