gm. my farcaster feed is beginning to resemble twitter, and not in a good way. squabbling, posturing, and misinformation abound, none of it funny, some of it dangerous. i won't help with that. so, instead of unfollowing anyone specifically, i've made the choice to reset my follows and exit most channels. I'll meander my way back to the channels I use and people I cherish over the coming days and weeks. Find me in the arena, as ever. See you soon 🎩🌹

I totally understand and support you. There's a lot of smoke in the air because of many drastic changes in a short space of time (in the channels, in Moxie, in Degen). A lot of people are lost or frustrated because they don't know how to participate or because they feel excluded. I hope the dust will settle in the next few days.

this is why ive been very careful about curating my feed since jan and i get a lot of side eyes for it. i learned in 2022 that what i see on my timeline affects my mental health a LOT (i haven't been able to reach the stage of not letting things out of my control bother me at all, but i try) welcome to the other side of wanting to curate your mental health aka feed 🖤

This is just a product of scale. It is more community-oriented here than Twitter, though. I like the recent changes with channels; maybe not perfect, but a step in the right direction and there is clearly a lot of potential.

Before the channel changes, I occasionally cleaned them to get a better home feed. In general, it worked well. Following people just because of the social pressure that someone follows you back is terrible. Following should be something you want to do because you like the person, the content, or whatever reason ticks with you. The same should be the opposite. It's frustrating that you must nuke all your followers to avoid getting some people angry at you.
