the UX is still so confusing to me. when i open it i have no idea if a “post” is: 
- someone’s original post
- their reply to someone else’s original post
- their reply to someone else who replied to their original post

without tapping more there’s no context & it’s just exhausting (doubly so bc all voice)

For me kiwi is not high bar for orienting myself about what’s going on with the site. The bar is with the content itself. That’s a definite good thing. 

But with Airchat there seems to be a high bar just to figure out what content I want to engage with.

The research we did for /kiwi-news has resulted in the same issue. There is a high bar for engaging with the website/app.

But what to do in an age where most social media is about cat images and 140 characters?

Would be interesting to see if they thought so in a user interview

i think that's a feature, not a flaw (to the creators + what they're trying to achieve)

It's hard to diagnose, but I think part of it is that the average post is so long form that (1) it's hard to get the point at a glance (2) it's hard to create the full context of a thread, since that all so rarely fits onto the same screen

I like it better in the beta when it was just a conversation and you added you say on top. Adding the Instagram part just feels like doing too much
