One time I watched an interview with Michelle and Oprah and, Oprah had just discovered in real time Michelle had published a journal type book. She was genuinely surprised she didn’t know about it and chided “Michelle Obama…I thought we was friends!!” It was adorable but also stuck with me always for revealing the universal girlish vulnerability of wanting to be on the inside of your friendships, no matter how rich or famous you are. Also, as a referendum on Michelle’s power. On an energetic level, she is one of the most authentically powerful people I have ever encountered.
