fun thought experiment: let's say erewhon, hypothetically, just raised another round of private equity. for those unfamiliar, erewhon is an LA-based a high-end organic and natural food supermarket chain with 10 locations. last round was in 2019 with 5 locations. what would you guess the most recent valuation is?

$1B? Whole foods got $35M per store from amazon, Shake Shack $10M per from market. This could get me to $200M for E's present value ($20Mx10 locations). From that baseline I could get to $500M, as a ~10% chance of a killer nation-wide scaling. But guessing they found buyers 2x crazier than my optimistic case = $1B.

$600M $200M revenue x 3x multiplier. Maybe could do better. Maybe raise with a plan to distribute products in Whole Foods and would be higher.

If they raise $500M, pretty sure that will be part of their post money valuation. So $500M at 3x revenue would be between $700M - $1.5B, so maybe $1B just throwing numbers idk
