help me out here. BTC abnd ETH peaked in early march, 4 months ago, and have been ~stagnant since. i would say that we are well past the short-lived, 3 month "bull market" and have settled into the new crypto winter but many aren't casting or tweeting as if we are. why is this? bc there wasn't a catastrophic drop?

think 4 months ago was price action accounting for btc etf + halving narrative. i wouldn't call that a bull market imo better framing is march was the first time we saw light at the end of the tunnel of the same crypto winter we've been in since FTX, we've still yet to actually leave the winter market

i don't get how crypto winter is the narrative. sure memes and shitcoins got decimated but btc/eth are up big from their lows last year.

bear/winter market in crypto is broadly defined as when prices drop by 20% and then keep dropping this is not a bear market

2025 has always been the scheduled time for mania based on the four year cycle continuing as it has before. We have been in a range from 58K to 72K for months and that is when people are the most bored. Election -> Rate Cuts -> 🚀 It’s hard to be patient, but people should enjoy their summer!

was there a new narrative to accompany this cycle? i would argue we aren't even in a bull market (still the trough of sorrow post last cycle) and it was just an adjustment based on non crypto factors and maybe some positive regulatory outlook (ETFs, etc)

there's less money being "made in crypto" so pumps are not so large and IMHO we're just catching our breath :) and waiting for whatever comes first: - next wave of monetary issues with dollar and US elections - project(s) to figure out to bring cool tech to real consumer market (not crypto market) There's no onchain visible reason for bear, infl/outfl is solid - and everyone IRL and in tech kinda suffers, so it's balanced environment
