last year, i started hosting a Topics of Controversy dinner series. each dinner is anchored around a taboo topic and kicks off with a few thought-provoking questions before we dive into a respectful discussion / debate. my biggest takeaway? people LOVE to learn IRL with and from each other. we need more of this.

Topic idea 2: segregated schools (by cognitive capacities or gender) lead to better outcomes as the students population is more homogeneous. Fun fact: in my old home city, there were 2 maybe 3 mixed secondary school. It wasn’t a tiny city…

In the Netherlands certain job vacancies mention your “thinking level”. It was worded like “MBO thinking level”. MBO is secondary vocational education. Topic 1: are certain people to stupid for certain jobs
