ok real question all the women in LA and influencers generally kind of look the same (same lip fillers, same upper bleph surgery, same makeup routines, same athleisure fits, etc) will AI influencers continue to look similar or will they evolve to be more unique (and natural)? asked at dinner and the table was split

I have a theory that rupaul and Jane Fonda have the same surgeon because they have some really similar features when they make certain expressions.

Men actually don’t like malformed features. Seeing misaligned faces triggers a systemic warning that something is not how it’s supposed to be. It’s a subconscious trigger based on pattern recognition and the Fibonacci sequence. People who alter their faces and bodies do so for themselves and think it makes them look better to others but systematically it does not. I say this with empathy and understanding about body dysmorphia etc. but my personal take on this will be AI would create natural looking (as in even faces / aligned with universal fib) vs plastic surgery. Attraction is based on many things, but the root subconscious is only tied to one thing and that’s finding good genes to breed with. When your face is changed that is a trigger something is wrong genetically, even if it’s not and was done artificially.

I suspect they'll go less natural, while people will be convinced they are more natural. Just like with very good plastic surgery work, the more impressive work is the kind that looks like nothing was ever done

As always, it depends, but for sure the more Ai influencers there are, the more "standard" their features will look because they statistically will choose the most popular features. You can get some bespoke Ai influencers who have outlier “specific features” (ie freckles, bigger nose, scar), but the rest of the features will be filled in generic IMHO.

Algorithms are creating more conformity I think we’ll zag to where unique features are celebrated.. maybe even surgically done Whether its a random mole or strong nose idk And i think ai models will be downstream of human beauty aspirations

I feel like AI opens the possibility of presenting unique and distinct looks not possible IRL, so I wonder if it could go in the opposite direction. And something unique would stand out more rather than being the same as everyone else.

I think these looks are a result of a beauty ideal created at one point in time, especially when cosmetic surgery was becoming more popular. If the AI models take their image-input from a true global audience, I would assume Asian features will become the ideal more, given the population sizes of countries like India and China.

until agents are creating their own influencers they will likely reflect the identity or aspired identity of their deployer first movers on anything tend to have more in common with each other ex. builders on fc

all famous hentai/manga/gaming looks similar so we can extrapolate. about this and life preferences in general most people believe their tastes are unique, they're not. normal distribution works for taste, dating prefs and most things human (sadly)

Here is my 2 cents on this: I recently moved to bay area from Japan and can say that I find this pattern similar to both countries. In Japan the whitening of skin, making eyes bigger and wearing 'kawai' clothes is the norm. In SF the makeup, hair trend is the same on each woman highlights, bronzer and the base outfits: leggings with hoodie or large shirt, it feels like all the town wears the same haha. If you travel in London or other cities, you find similar pattern too. In London I found people love tanning, fake eyelashes and very long nails too. Trend following is similar in each community or society in the worlds, so whoever is building the AI influencers probably will follow same logic, maybe it will start with more generalized and go narrow later on.

I think/hope AI influencers will open up way more possibilities than mimicking real life — vampires, mer-people, hobbits, aliens
