This year I built a grant fund for onchain poetry. The fund is financed through donations, degen tips and moxie earnings. I have experimented with some distribution mechanics, and will use the learnings to optimise that in the next year. In 2024, I have distributed a good amount to poets who have been taking a risk by making their work available as NFTs. Through direct grants, and by using @rounds and with my @hypersub subscribers as curators. By giving grantees a podium as poet of the month in my newsletter, I've been able to shine a spotlight on some amazing artists, such as @papa, @bochini and @wordstobepoetry. It was a good start in 2024, and I will built it out even better in 2025.

Learned something about a word today. I thought "parenthesis" was a bracket: "(" or ")". But... it isn't! A parenthesis is an extension of a sentence, that can be added using brackets (or dashes or commas). The fun of being a non-native user of "English".

As I am preparing to do some new things with rounds in the future here, I am going to change the settings of the channel soon. That means that some of you might lose membership status. To prevent spam, and to be sure the distribution of rewards does not disproportionally go to unintended receivers, there will be an ERC20 that you need to hold to become a member. I've used @quidli today to drop some $hopje to members that follow me. You will be fine.

Hey @ahn.eth, How does a coin qualify for quidli? I have a clanker I want to drop, but it's not on the list... Now trying to figure out if bribing you for quidli access or manual sending would is the lazy-man way to go.

Just a gentle reminder. This channel is for sharing and talking about poetry. Sharing poetry is welcomed and encouraged, either your own or by someone else (don't forget to say which poet wrote the poem you share!). I look at most posts. If I do not know the caster, I check with the bot-or-not action. Accounts that cast like a bot will see their casts hidden from the channel. If you want that not to happen, be sure to not be seen as a bot by the bot-or-not action. In some cases when I have doubt, I check the accounts. Generally, bot-or-not seems to have a point.
