Hard to build, worse performance, worse UX, hardly anyone is getting legal trouble for running centralized parts (until tornado cash), governance of onchain stuff isn't really solved so you can still get rugged by a malicious decentralized front-end

Convenience > principle. It doesn't make logical sense for anyone to optimize for black swan events. Maybe there's a way to trojan horse fully on-chain stuff by making it naturally most convenient but I'm not sure. Or maybe we just don't have the infra yet to make it as easy as the weird frankenstein stuff we have?
