A lot blockchain projects nowadays are kind of commercially-vibed, ie they're VC-funded or want to be and they have a team that basically operates like a startup. What are the best examples of projects that still feel more like free software projects and less like businesses?

You can put this point more strongly: The people with the most valuable posts are people who aren't particularly interested in being read. The best posters people are who are cursed with Thoughts. Any form of incentivization for content production makes your feed worse.

Bluesky devs pushed an update that stopped putting replies to people I follow in my feed. I didn't like this so I clicked "feeds" and chose a feed made by somebody else that put the replies back. This is how it should work and the FC community would do an incredible job of creating feeds if they were unbundled.
