Generally I think you should believe Trump will do the things he says, eg he means business on tariffs, he's really cutting taxes on Elon and putting 20% on the price of your electronics. But on putting RFK Jr in charge of public health, I think he sends his name to the Senate and the Senate says no and that's that?

Saw this about the Kokumin Minshuto wanting to cut the crypto tax rate and thought "who cares about that, it's just a minor party". If ICANN kill .io domains we should keep them running via ENS. Start with all the existing nameserver settings as of EOL date. Import to ENS with a txt record and you can update/transfer. Run some normal trusted-party DNS servers serving the nameservers listed on-chain. Pester admins to add them to their root DNS lists

His policy is to still be global police as far as I can tell, he doesn't say "let Iran do what they like" or "let China control East Asia" 15% of Nato budget, same as Germany and 1.5x France/UK doesn't sound like much, the US is a much bigger country and has far more influence over what Nato does than anyone else

You can't really debate what Trump says because he says contradictory things. You can imagine a policy and debate that, one is "US gives up on international power and spends the money at home". But mentioning Trump there doesn't help since that's not his policy.

That's not a choice in this election as Trump and Harris have the same policy. But the Egypt aid has pretty high ROI, I expect it pays for itself? Trade through Suez is important to the US economy and the US keeps Egypt friendly with these fairly small bribes. They spent 1000x that on the Iraq war for a less important country

No idea, my point is just that Trump and Biden/Harris have the same policy on military aid to keep Islamic fundamentalists out. If Trump's policy was that he didn't care what happened in the Middle East and the US wasn't going to project international power any more that might be cheaper but that's not his policy. Last time he nearly went to war with Iran, he might well do that this time and it'll cost a fortune

Not really clear that he does want to do that, he wants the US to be Great not internationally powerless. His argument on Nato is 1. EU should spend more on defence, which is US policy since at least Obama 2. Make EU pay overdue fees to the US, which are something Trump made up The main difference is he doesn't want to fund Ukraine, but if you let Russia take Ukraine you'll have to spend way more on weapons to deter them from attacking a Nato country

I don't understand this, the Trump administration had the same policy on military aid to Egypt as the Biden administration. It originally got that $1.3bn appropriated. https://edition.cnn.com/2018/07/25/politics/us-military-aid-egypt/index.html Mostly the US pays the Egyptian military to keep Islamic nutcases out
