I've long struggled with prioritizing and staying on task, but it's gotten worse as of late. So here's a convoluted metaphor as a note to myself to not check socials first thing in the morning: the Attention Bus https://hackmd.io/@sdv-eth/BJQNzWv5A

I think this metaphor works great Express route means you skip some stops but ultimately get passengers where they need to be more reliably

I’d been feeling this too lately, but more of priority 4/5 vying for more time than they should compared to 1 or 2 What prompted this piece for you?

Great piece. I struggle bad with this. The only time I had success for an extended period of time (4mo) was by putting my phone in a cabinet in a separate room before bed. It felt like way too large a betrayal of myself to open up that cabinet and grab the phone. So if manage from 6-9. Bit harder now with kids and more obligations.

make a list of your priorities then imagine what an outside observer of your day would think your priorities are compare adapt repeat until they match -- (mine never match, but it does jolt me in the right direction)

I think also, the world is more chaotic on an energetic level, and for people who are sensitive… it makes us feel less in control of our own experiences.

I liked it, something to think about and maybe I can apply it. I still have a morning ritual of checking my phone first thing in the morning, even though I know it's not quite right. Well, it's something to work on😂

This has been so bad for me the past two weeks as I've been sick, so I was not doing social things at all, so got into the bad habit of being on here all day. But yes, thanks for the reminder in this little metaphor to not check WC first thing in the morning.
