goal day 2 (meditate for 5 minutes) today was a big change in my routine. which completely threw off my morning. then work. then some high priority errands immediately after work. and then it was the end of the day. and I could have just put it off. there’s always tomorrow. but someone wise (@thecurioushermit ) once told me, “if you don’t have time to meditate for one minute, you need to meditate for five.” so I stopped what I was doing. and I meditated. for five whole minutes. ❤️‍🔥

avoiding doing my morning journaling by casting. so why not combine the two? this is how I start my journaling. using the framework crafted by @thecurioushermit and adapted to me. monday is my “nourish” day. I’m not particularly great at that skill which is why I have it in my daily rotation for the week. 🫶

this blew my brain yesterday and I can’t stop thinking about it. to know there’s a physical connection between inertia and dopamine? all of the guilt I’ve experienced over this situation. and it’s because my brain shorts me dopamine. making a dopamine menu today. what would you include on yours? 🫶

#veravents how’s everyone feeling today with the back to school season? it’s a rough one over here. meltdowns and anxiety and illness galore. ah the joys of neurodivergence in a forced environment. awake before the sun rises. an hour long bus ride? limited *signed* permission slips to use the bathroom? 8 hours at school but still expecting them to do more work afterwards? fuck. this is week two of school and I’m already overwhelmed by the constant dysregulation.
