did you know july is disability pride month? i just learned this myself. i grew up with disabled parents. i’m disabled. i have disabled children. anyone can become disabled at any point in their lives. this is why it’s so important to keep improving and providing abundant disability access. equity doesn’t mean “equal” — it means care that meets people where they are. 🫶🏻💞

I had a whole cast ready to go for a morning message and then it disappeared while I was distracted with loving on all the magical people present here of farcaster and tending to the beautiful souls I have the honor of cohabiting with. it was inspired by a bitchslap (lovingly) by @0ffline and the reminder yet again that we are the universe experiencing itself. over and over I reconnect to this understanding. it’s so easy to slip back into the division because we’ve been programmed so successfully to do so. pre-birth for a lot of us. the eagle came to remind me 🦅 and I’ve seen so many of us connecting with nature in unexpected ways today. @chronist and the bunnies @olystuart and the bats @coolbeans1r and the millipedes just wanna say, thank you all for being a beautiful part of this universe 😘🫶🏻💕

the beauty of where you are right now: ✨ you are not excusing them. ✨ you are not letting them off the hook. ✨ you are seeing the whole truth. that they acted out of their fear — and their fear still hurt you. that their terror made them control you — and their control still harmed you. that their programming became a cage — and they tried to force you to live in it too.

how old do you think this beauty is? 😍🫶🏻 stewarding how many generations of pain? receiving expressions of love, nourishing it? I totally ended up in tears under the branches. I asked my partner to take a photo for me. to witness me, witnessing this tree. because this is the stuff I live for. finding the sacred in the every day. connecting to nature. to our roots. our roots of connection. we are all tired of the pain. the violent struggles. not having a safe and supportive environment. I want to be living poetically, literally. and I want it to be a love story, not a tragedy. for all of us. hbu? 😘🫶🏻💞

I got my diagnosis three years ago to the day. I was not expecting to receive "severely autistic" I was only hoping to get help for my extreme adhd after not one, not two, but three of my five children were diagnosed and I realized that... fuck. I had been missed. it presents differently in girls. especially, traumatized, quiet, people pleasing little girls who are forced to take care of their (now-obviously neurodivergent) parents. so when I tell you I was shocked. I mean, fuckers, I was SHOCKED. and dismayed. and honestly, traumatized by the fact that not a **single** fucking doctor, teacher, therapist, counselor, coach, or otherwise even remotely suggested I might have autism. yeah yeah, times were different, yada yada fuck all.
