Yeah that's a fair point. I do think it plays less though in a world where switching costs are minimal. Over time great teams build a bunch of great products with less defensible moats. People use Coinbase (not onchain) but the story is much less clear for Coinbase Wallet (vs. other wallets).

Or metamask, it’s taken forever for ppl to remove it even with better alternatives bc once you have a product you use daily/trust hard to get ppl to uninstall

At Coinbase, part of my job was Product DRI for consumer trading pricing. We ran many experiments to evaluate price elasticity. By and large, it's low. Trust, ease of use, and branding can be durable sources of pricing power.

I pay for mymind, screens studio, linear, railway and they aren't the cheapest products. my mother might make different choices. its how we were raised and what we value. I value finesse so everything I touch is high class. study humans. re: I didn't read the thread, I just read rish's response and am making a point. I question, can AI replicate great software taste? what does it even mean? b/c taste goes beyond price, beyond ease of use, beyond cx. its a feeling. study feelings. the end.
