@linda feature requests for airdrops 1. Link me to something helpful so I can decide whether I want this token. An airdrop could be worth $0.10 or $1k. At least a token address I can tap out to view, please! 2. Add support for airdropping arbitrary tokens if you don’t already. Eg I would like to airdrop $5 USDC to people who do X

Just submitted a lightning talk proposal for /farcon-nyc Topic: Verifications are dead, long live verifications! TL;DR: Over the course of 8 minutes, learn why centralized verifications alone are doomed, web of trust attestations can be complementary, and how using both together in a hybrid approach can solve the problem of trust on Farcaster and the internet at large. Depending on interest, we may do a live demo of integrating verifications + web of trust for channel gating, token deployment, and more.

A bunch of my network interacted with this cast because of /amps Feels like without allowlist gating for who can use it, the inevitable outcome is trust destroying behavior, which causes trustworthy people to leave, which causes a product death spiral Interesting model though. The experimentation is valuable.

A Twitter account impersonating @j4ck.eth has deployed an unauthorized token using bankr that uses Icebreaker’s logo and name. As always, beware of scams. Icebreaker does not have a token. Plus if we did, it would not be so unoriginal.

Minor detail in this week's launch, but big implications for giving more control over linked data on Icebreaker. We've begun splitting login methods from account verifications and data integrations. To date, we've used /privy for most account verifications* (*plus integrating with other verified sources like farcaster, talent, ens, etc because we believe in the principle of "verify once, use across web3") Moving forward, we will begin splitting out: linked accounts / login methods (e.g., using privy) -> used both for login and for verifications verified accounts (e.g., using oauth, magic links, txt records, attestations) -> not necessarily login methods. lets us expand the universe of verifiable accounts dramatically without compromising on account security data integrations (e.g., reclaim, oauth, opacity, verifiable ai agents) -> optionally lets you integrate more deeply, e.g., pulling your full linkedin, twitter, or google calendar networks so you can see your strongest connections in one place

Feature request: Let me add channels to my starter packs Use Case: My cousin is in college doing a dual data and cs degree. He wants to know what tech and projects are worth playing with. Super smart, but he doesn't have strong existing networks on twitter, linkedin, or github so it's hard for him to discover what's at the frontier. Ie, he lacks a signal filter. I could give him a list of repos that I'm excited about, but that's a point in time snapshot. Better yet, I invited him to Farcaster and gave him a starter pack of people. But that requires him to sort through a bunch of non-tech related content, and I ended up filtering out some strong builders because their degen-y crypto posts may be a distraction. The best would be if I could share a list of 3-5 high signal channels in addition to a collection of interesting people. When well curated, channels contain only high signal topic-related content from a theoretically unlimited pool of contributors, which is the best signal filter I can give him.

What’s the best package or repo to create a v2 frame in <5 min? Any good forkable samples that include full screen experience, social sharing, and notifs are appreciated too

Still surprised how often companies mess up customer segmentation by exclusively using behavioral clustering The most stable and intuitive segmentations rely on demographic clusterings. These still often have strong behavioral correlations, but the demographics are usually the **cause** of the behaviors, as well as **differing responses to the same treatment**. The last point is key, since without demographic segmentation, you won't learn that treatment 1 (e.g., 30% off) works best for segment A while treatment 2 (e.g., vip upgrade) works best for segment B. This is an ancient talk but the principles (8:30-10:00) still apply https://youtu.be/g-mRWavmXuk?si=LFsadSaUyltPBTNq&t=506
