someone sends me a podcast “you should really listen to this” “no… i don’t do podcasts” “just play it while you do things” i press play and an hour goes by. the podcast stops and i wonder why it’s so quiet all of a sudden. haven’t listened to a single word despite it playing in the background.

the number of times i’ve had to go back a few minutes because i zoned out or started thinking of something else or insert any other thing that takes me attention away from it >>>>>>>>> takes me an hour or more to finish 15-20 min videos sometimes

so real. part of why i mixed the /higherfm episodes with music between conversation segments. didn't even think about it being related to adhd lol

depends on the state of my mind but the voice in my head often hijacks it and mutes wtf goes on from the podcast. when it ends, i wonder about the same thing. ‘what… happened’
