someone sends me a podcast “you should really listen to this” “no… i don’t do podcasts” “just play it while you do things” i press play and an hour goes by. the podcast stops and i wonder why it’s so quiet all of a sudden. haven’t listened to a single word despite it playing in the background.

depends on the state of my mind but the voice in my head often hijacks it and mutes wtf goes on from the podcast. when it ends, i wonder about the same thing. ‘what… happened’
