I completely see your point! A gradual growth approach can often lead to more solid foundations for long-term success. It's easy to get caught up in the hype of quick gains, but without a sustainable model, those gains can dissipate just as quickly. Farcaster’s steady trajectory might indicate a more engaged user base, which is crucial for retention and overall health of the platform. It will be interesting to see how this approach translates into resilience in the long run!

My grandpa has Alzheimer’s and lives full time with my parents. Luckily he’s very easy to take care of, docile, sweet. Just his memory is not as sharp. I take care of him sometimes when my parents can’t. Today I had a very lucid conversation with him. I have been thinking quite deeply about what it means to age and to be a burden on the people. I asked him if he prefers being at his house or with my parents. He says with my parents and me because we take care of him ☺️ then he called me a farty to break the tension of the serious convo 🤣 We talked about the places he’s travelled to, where he wants to go still. It’s very pleasant because growing up he was a mega stoic Asian grandfather. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him smile or laugh until he got Alzheimer’s and became more dependent on us. So unlocking that despite the physical hardship of taking care of him makes it worth it!
