Lovely post, I agree and am regretful of changing mine so often. I was grinding in competitive call of duty for ~8 years of my life. Would change my gamer tag constantly. Really regret doing so, looking back I realize the reputation benefits of being consistent

Mine was JD5 on AOL A lot of my friends still call me that (I’m actually the 5th) I consulted for AOL in the early aughts and the CTO was impressed I had snagged a 3 letter name
