The next big "L1" opportunity isn't higher TPS or lower fees for smart contract devs. It's making crypto rails accessible to a new, emerging set of builders: AI app / agent devs. AI devs will build on crypto rails for two reasons: 1. Create product differentiation and lock-in by incentivizing users via tokens to contribute to improving model performance 2. Power increasingly autonomous (and eventually sovereign) agents who can capitalize themselves via internet capital markets, make payments, acquire compute, etc.

Hot take: AA/embedded wallets are a feature, not a product. To make crypto UX > web2 UX, we need to take a bolder swing that also addresses other important user and developer unmet needs.

The most important ability of any blockchain 3 years from now won't be TPS, throughput, or parallelization. It will be its Rolodex: the network of other blockchains it can interact with in a way that's fully abstracted from users. And the biggest network will win. Agree/disagree?

Just took me 45 mins to convert a bit of stETH -> ETH -> swETH (swell) -> restake on Eigen. Prob cost me $50 in fees. AMA. Oh and wagmi 🫤
