I was blown away by Murakami when I read Kafka on the shore. There is something so simple yet provocative in his writing.

Murakami is fantastic. I love his worlds on the edge of reality and very lively descriptions of the scenery. Always makes me feel I'm traveling Japan. Have you read more recent books as well?

Big Murakami fan as well. His tone is so familiar yet haunting. Sputnik Sweetheart is another of his that has lingered with me.

I'm about to start that kick I think (after finishing a vonnegut stretch). Killing Commendatore is the next thing I've got ready to read
