Picked up this month’s birthday gift from Sephora, has anyone used Kerastase products before? Seems to be less divisive than Ouai products from hairtok community, but still mixed bag.

PRIVACY WINS... kind of. The 3 charges against Roman remain despite TC being lifted from US treasury’s sanctions list. If he loses, we lose everything we’ve fought to build the so-called future of finance: 1) Sanctions Evasion Roman is charged under the North Korea sanctions program, which is separate from TC sanctions, which could continue to make devs face criminal liability 2) Operating unlicensed MSB Every dapp that enables financial tx would have to register as an MSB and employ KYC, report suspicious txs etc. A slippery slope for the gov to control what DeFi is. 3) Committing money laundering Devs can still be charged for third party misuse of open and permissionless protocols while banks pay fines and get a slap on the wrist. TLDR our regulatory woes for DeFi, financial privacy, and open-source development are not over until the DOJ drops the charges against Roman Storm.

Huge win for privacy today Despite this, the DOJ has not dropped charges against Roman. https://ofac.treasury.gov/recent-actions/20250321

learning experience from Free Alexey Roman is that VCs get too much hate whereas DAOs have too much praise when it comes to being ETH aligned https://x.com/ameensol/status/1902044395873939964?s=46&t=rLftPKNSWRVHZOADuhmSqA

Ethereum caters to developer comms (as it should!) but needs good storytellers to go beyond our bubble. With ref. to CB campaigns, there could be focus on how banking restrictions harm freelancers, people with bad credit scores, low-income families, or those sending money to family/businesses overseas. Doesn’t have to be just DeFi, the opportunity is endless. Reflecting on my OP, Ethereum also leans heavily on X for comms while ignoring platforms like TT/YT/IG to find new users. If Solana is labeled “Republican” for leaning into culture war narratives, how is Ethereum different (setting aside tone/message delivery) when it relies on the same right-leaning platform to reach people? EF prides itself on being neutral, it should try to meet people wherever they are online. After all, it’s the world computer.

I don’t post about crypto on IG often, but when I do, it’s usually to share real examples of how I or others have been locked out of the financial system and how DeFi created a way forward. Every time, at least one person rethinks their stance on crypto.

Watched Booksmart for the first time w/ @matthewb as per ChatGPT’s suggestion. I thought it was a good female version of Superbad without being redundant or too woke. I still prefer the OG but had some good laughs.
