Yes. Specifically, community should fund original investigative journalism in areas of high interest, potentially on a quadratic funding model

How about a model where journalist are paid RPGF style based on the quality of their reports?

Funded by readers is cool. Even better - incentivizes to report the truth/create the most impact

The world genuinely needs this. Think of the stories we get via good journalism. Zero 'big-brother' bias; no corporate alignment issues. Pure truth as defined by the facts.

Someone mentioned a 'SubStack' like design system. It's a good idea. I think writers should be anonymous by default, though. User votes validate.

- You can't affect them in 99% cases

- Mostly they're negative because that's what catches our brain's attention the quickest (because it was necessary for our survival in the ancient times)
