speculators always talking about the marginal buyer on tokens, who's going to buy after me sounds stressful. why waste time waiting for exit liquidity on vapor the only investable tokens are ones that people want to acquire for reasons other than selling higher

Dromos posted this on sustainability in dex emissions. it's a little audacious tl;dr: emissions are not short-term incentives. they're not just structurally sustainable but necessary for outcompeting in the DEX space https://paragraph.xyz/@dromos/sustainability

look all I’m saying is that if @ethereumfndn is going to do nothing other than dump their ETH they can AT LEAST bridge to @base and use @aerodrome where they can access the most liquid, highest-volume marketplace for ETH worldwide and then they can dump their ETH

challenge for @optimism is to grow beyond this thing where only EF alumni are taken seriously two years ago, @wagmialexander and I spoke at an OP all-hands urging the prioritization of the app layer @velodrome is OP’s biggest success, still begging for a seat at the table

Hope ppl clear that Velo team have strong opinions about retro funding because we believe in it and in the Optimistic Vision We wouldn't have shown up day 1 and refused to go elsewhere—despite mind-bending incentives from other ecos to do so—if we didn't believe this isn't zero-sum but it's also not zero-stakes

is there anything like a book club focusing on emerging/heterodox economic approaches, governance, stakeholder ownership, etc? I do see ppl talking abt this, and it's why I got into this space got thinking about this reading "The Alternative" by Nick Romeo and it brushes *right up* against what we're doing here
