Have never had the issue of trying to gain weight but I imagine I would eat a lot of rice and potatoes and some pasta and a lot of meat and lift and not consume coffee or other appetite suppressants and eat a lot on weekends with less regard for quality of calories (pizza, etc.) than during the week, and drink protein

I was told to go to gym 3/4 times a week and after that to eat protein +carbohydrate meal. It worked, I gained a little but when I stopped going to gym I lost again.

- Daily calorie surplus (ex per 2000 calorie daily add 200 or 300 calories) - 1,5-2 grams of protein per kg (ex per 80 kg need btw 120-160 grams of daily protein) - min 3 hour btw meals - best foods : eggs, cottage cheese, protein from meet (ex. Beef steak)

If you really struggle I've heard of people having success with GOMAD (gallon of milk per day). When gaining, it is usually a time when I get a little more loose with my diet, and allow myself foods that aren't entirely within my macros, so I do allow more junk food when gaining (in moderation).

It depends, what kind of weight are you trying to gain, fat or muscle. To gain muscle, you’ll also gain a little bit of fat. You can also gain fat without gaining any muscle. For muscle, 1g of protein per day per lb of body weight while in a calorie surplus, lifting at least 2 times a week.
